James C. Macomber, 53, of Mattapoisett died February 10, 2004 unexpectedly at home.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Clifton E. and Catherine L. (Morey) Macomber, he lived in Mattapoisett all his life.

He was employed at Suffolk Downs Race Track for many years.

Survivors include a son, Daniel M. Johnson of West Covina, CA; an aunt, Beverly Farwell, and her husband Donald, of Mattapoisett; 2 uncles, Francis Morey of New Bedford and Everett Macomber of Fairhaven; and many cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett, Saturday, February 14th at 10 AM.

Visiting hours Friday, February 13th from 7-9 PM.

Interment Pine Island Cemetery, Mattapoisett.
