James A. Nobrega, 80, of New Bedford passed away suddenly at St. Luke's Hospital on Sunday August 25, 2024.  He was the husband of Paula J. (Poling) Nobrega,

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Arthur and Rita (Patnaude) Nobrega, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.

Jim was formerly employed as a machine operator at Teledyne/Rodney Metals until his retirement.

He served in the Army National Guard.  He loved gardening and taking trips to Las Vegas and Disneyworld.

He is survived by his wife, Paula; his daughter, Jennifer Martin and her husband Derek; his sister, Janice Sylvia and her husband Joseph; and his grandson, Charlie Martin.

He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Nobrega.
