James R. Bramwell

James R. Bramwell, 83, of New Bedford died June 28, 2026 at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by his family.
Born and raised in New Bedford, son of the late Benjamin J. and Helen (Fal) Bramwell, he lived in Fairhaven and New Bedford.
He was formerly employed as grocery manager at Almacs and Trucchi's Supermarket for over 30 years until his retirement.
Mr. Bramwell was an avid Boston sports fan. He was an antique car enthusiast and he enjoyed the company of his dog Spanky.
Survivors include his 2 daughters, Michelle H. Bramwell and her boyfriend Paul Bergeron of New Bedford and Lisa L. Bramwell-Bolger and her husband Alan of Fairhaven; a brother, Robert Bramwell of Westport; and 3 grandchildren, Caleb D. Bolger, Colby J. Bolger and Brooke A. Bolger.
He was the father of the late James J. Bramwell.
His family will receive guests on Wednesday, July 1st from 8:30-9:15 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by his Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 440 Main St. Fairhaven at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
