James R. Tavares

James R. Tavares, 83, of Acushnet died May 7, 2026 at Care One of New Bedford.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late James P. Tavares and Maire (Paulino) Eanes, he lived in Acushnet most of his life.
He was formerly employed as a surveyor for 38 years with Tibbetts Engineering until his retirement.
He is survived by his aunt, Rose Santos of New Bedford and his cousin, Daniel Santos of Acushnet.
His Funeral Service will be private.
