Jane M. (Langis) Livsey, 79, of New Bedford died October 12, 2015 at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home.
She was the wife of the late Norman Livsey.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Armand A. and Alexina H.G. (Darosa) Langis, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Livsey was a communicant of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church.
She was formerly employed as a secretary at a local medical office and later was a safety sitter at St. Luke's Hospital.
Mrs. Livsey enjoyed crossword puzzles, scratch tickets, reading, sitting on her porch and the company of her dog Roscoe.
Survivors include a brother-in-law, George Avila of New Bedford; 2 sisters-in-law, Patricia Langis and Doreen Langis, both of New Bedford; several nieces and nephews, Melissa Avila, Dennis Avila and Anthony Avila, Christopher Avila, Donna Michaud, Louise Baptiste, Lisa Langis, Michael Langis, Karen Langis Main and Paul Langis.
She was the sister of the late Janet Avila, Richard Langis and Jerrod Langis.
Her Funeral will be held on Friday, October 16th at 10 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at St. James Parish at 11 AM. Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home, Patient Activities Department, 200 Hawthorn Street, New Bedford, MA 02740.
