Janet H. Bouchard passed away on May 13, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Ann (Cawley) and Kershaw Heywood.

Janet was the widow of Marc W. Bouchard who passed away in 2017. They were married for 48 years, and she missed him terribly.

Born in Acushnet, raised in New Bedford, she resided in Acushnet since 1972. She was a 1966 graduate of New Bedford High School.

Janet was a life-long member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in New Bedford, where she was active in the Women's Group and Food Pantry until her illness.

Janet is survived by her sister, Susan Abraham, and her husband, Peter J. Abraham, Jr., nieces Karen Foley and her husband David, Kristen Milette and her husband Brian, nephews Peter D. Abraham, and Lee Bissonnette and his wife Paula. She is also survived by great nieces Leah Foley, Kara Milette, Ava and Carlee Bissonnette, great nephew Jason Milette, her very dear friend Maggie Lague and brother-in-law Stewart Mills. She was pre-deceased by her sister Marilyn Bissonnette and her husband Jay.

Her private funeral was held on Thursday, May 22nd in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church followed by burial in Riverside Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
