Janet W. (Rocheteau) Fields, 73, of Fairhaven died August 25, 2012 at home after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Joseph Conrad "Josie" Fields.
Born in Harwich, MA, the daughter of the late William and Sannie (Fernandes) Rocheteau, she lived in Fairhaven most of her life.
Survivors include her 4 sons, Greg Rocheteau of California, William Fields, David Fields and Steven Fields and his wife Misty, all of New Bedford; 4 daughters, Veronica Fields of Fall River, Theresa DaCruz and her husband Julio of Stratford, CT, Darnell Fields and her fiancé Michael Spinola of Miami, FL and Nicole Crozier and her husband Criss of San Diego; a step-daughter, Letticia Burgo of Taunton; a brother, Billy Rocheteau; 3 sisters, Carol Kearney, Clara Roderick and Charlene Rocheteau; 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Joseph Fields, Jr. and Robin Fields and the sister of the late Wilma Rocheteau and Rozanne Harris.
Visiting hours Thursday, August 30th from 3 - 6 PM followed by her Funeral Service at 6 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
