Janet T. (Thomas) Lalor, 94, of New Bedford died January 9, 2019 at Autumn Glen after a period of declining health.
She was the wife of the late Walter R. Lalor.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Thomas) Thomas, she lived in Ithaca, NY for many years before returning to New Bedford.
Mrs. Lalor was formerly employed by Morse Twist Drill and later as a Librarian at Cornell University until her retirement.
She enjoyed to travel and creating her own clothing as a seamstress.
Mrs. Lalor is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Atty. George Thomas, Arthur Thomas, Atty. Fred Thomas; and Mary Joseph.
Her Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, January 14th at 11 AM in Our Lady of Purgatory Church. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery. Her family will receive guests from 10 - 11 AM at church prior to her service.
