Janet B. (Bettencourt) Medeiros, 74, of New Bedford died April 2, 2011 at New Bedford Healthcare Center after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Linden W. Medeiros.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Clarence and Bertha (St. Aubin) Bettencourt, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
She was formerly employed by Marriott Food Service at the University of Massachusetts.
Survivors include her 4 children, Tammy Arruda, Gary Correia and Lisa Cabido, all of New Bedford and Timothy Correia of California; a sister, Diane Bettencourt of Texas; 6 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Her private Funeral Service was held Wednesday, April 6th in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Burial followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
