Janice A. Arguin

We are sorry to announce the passing of Janice A. Arguin, who died on August 1, 2026, at the age of 92. Janice was the beloved wife of Roland J. Arguin, who predeceased her after 65 years of marriage.

Janice was born on April 8, 1934, in New Bedford. Her parents, Thomas and Dora M. Hart, were lifelong residents of New Bedford. Janice graduated from Holy Family High School and was a congregant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. She was a doting matriarch who took great joy in the company of her four children, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Before moving to residential care, Janice was an avid walker, who enjoyed regular excursions to Buttonwood Park and Fort Taber. She had a wicked sense of humor, loved reading, and could usually be found in the company of her friend and sister, Patricia L. McCafferty, who predeceased her last year.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 8th at 11 AM in Sacred Heart Cemetery Chapel. Visiting hours are omitted.
