Janice E. (Nerbonne) Pimental, 85, of Acushnet passed away Wednesday June 4, 2025. She was the loving wife of the late Ronald V. Pimental; they had been married for 55 years.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Alfred and Bella (Boucher) Nerbonne, she lived in Acushnet for many years.
Janice was formerly employed as a golf ball patcher at the Acushnet Company until her retirement.
She was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Parish, where she served as a Eucharistic minister. Both she and her husband were awarded the Marian Medal from the Diocese of Fall River for their service to the parish.
Janice will be remembered for her bright smile, her laughter, and her loving warm embrace where a tear would always appear. She also had a special place in her heart for animals. They could always look forward to a treat and a kiss.
She is survived by her nieces and nephew, Susan C. Devito, Kathleen D. White, and James W. White; as well as great-nieces, great-nephews, and Godchildren.
She was predeceased by her sister Catherine D. White, her niece, Sheila M. White-Schefferine, and her nephew, Timothy R. White.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday June 10th at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, Fairhaven. Burial will follow in Acushnet Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted.
