Janice M. (Souza) Ribeiro, 74, of Dartmouth passed away Tuesday October 8, 2024 at Massachusetts General Hospital after a battle with cancer. She was the wife of Barry A. Ribeiro, Sr.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (Rebola) Souza, she lived in Dartmouth all of her life.  She was a graduate of Dartmouth High School.

Janice was formerly employed as an assistant manager and manager at various local retail stores, including Ann & Hope, Cherry & Webb, and Ocean State Job Lot.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and collecting ceramic frogs.  She was also an avid cat lover.

She is survived by her husband Barry; her son, Barry Ribeiro, Jr. and his wife Michelle; and two grandchildren, Jacob and Allysa Ribeiro.
