Jason R. Arruda, 45, of New Bedford, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024 after a long battle with bladder cancer.

Born in New Bedford, son of Robert H. and Janice (Gray) Arruda, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.

Jason graduated from New Bedford High School in 1997 with honors. He made all of his sacraments at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. Jason was a member of Boy Scout Troop 1 in New Bedford.

Survivors include his parents; his sister, Leslie Arruda; his brother, Dwayne Arruda; his niece, Kalli Arruda; his soulmate, Keri Lombardi; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jason's Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 6th at 12 PM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, all are invited to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. His visiting hours will be Wednesday, June 5th from 4-7 PM.
