Jean S. (Tremblay) Wilson, 88, of New Bedford passed away Tuesday December 17, 2024 at Catholic Memorial Home after a long illness.  She was the wife of the late Walter R. Wilson.

Born in Acushnet, the daughter of the late Romeo and Alice (Morin) Tremblay, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.

Jean was formerly employed as the payroll officer at Tremblay Bus Company until her retirement.

Her family would like to thank the staff of Catholic Memorial Home and Southcoast VNA for the loving and compassionate care given to Jean during her illness.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Tarini and her husband David, Cindy Makara and her husband Stephen, Brenda Allard and her husband Francis, Walter R. Wilson, Jr. and his wife Debora, and Dennis G. Wilson and his wife Janet; her brothers, Leo Tremblay and Albert Tremblay; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Tremblay.

Her visitation will be held on Monday December 23rd from 10AM -12 Noon at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her funeral service at 12 Noon.  Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.  Remembrances may be made to the Catholic Memorial Home (for the resident activity fund), 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River, MA 02720.
