Jeannine C. Benjamin

Jeannine C. (Vautrin) Benjamin, 92, of New Bedford died Monday, December 29, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Roland R. Benjamin.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Leo and Madeleine (Grenier) Vautrin, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.

Jeannine was a communicant of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish.

She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Grammar School and St. Anthony's High School in New Bedford.

Jeannine was employed at the Aerovox Corporation and later at the Acushnet Company where she worked for 29 years, retiring as an executive secretary. In retirement, she was employed as a secretary at Rock Funeral Home.

She was a former member of the Catholic Women's Club.

Jeannine loved spending time at her home and going on cruises with her husband and family.

She is survived by her daughter, Nina Benjamin of Bellingham; her son, Marc Benjamin and his fiance Sue Francis of New Bedford; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

She was predeceased by her sister, Paulette Langevin of California.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 9, 2026 at 10:30 AM at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church 343 Tarkiln Hill Rd., New Bedford, with everyone meeting directly at Church. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeannine's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
