Jeffrey A. Leaver, 60, of New Bedford died May 5, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Elizabeth A. (Bonneau) Leaver of Acushnet.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Lewis and Enid (Howard) Leaver, he lived in Acushnet most of his life.
Mr. Leaver served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of Acushnet Post 7239 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife; his caregiver, Felicia Howland, of New Bedford; a son, Scott Leaver, and his wife Karen, of Acushnet; a daughter, Jody Sousa, and her husband Christopher, of Dartmouth; 2 brothers, Brian Leaver and Kevin Leaver, both of New Bedford; 4 grandchildren, Sydney, Colin, Andrew and Kamden.
He was the brother of the late Susan Costa.
His private funeral arrangements are private.
