Jeffrey S. Nicholas, 63, of New Bedford died November 1, 2023 unexpectedly at Brigham & Women's Hospital.
He was the husband of the late Kathleen (Tracey) Nicholas.
Born in Detroit, MI, son of the late Clarence Leftwich and Bessie Nicholas, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.
He was a correctional officer with the Bristol County Sheriff's Department for 35 years until his retirement.
He enjoyed watching football, going to the gym and spending time with his dog Sherman.
Survivors include his daughters, Nichelle Nicholas and her fiance Miguele Thomas, Nicole Nicholas and her companion Robert Cananzey and Natasha Nicholas; his step-children, Ryan Tracey, Katie Tracey, Erin Fernandes and Erik Tracey; his brother, Kip Leftwich; 11 grandchildren, Taela, Jaedyn, Matthew, Brianna, Kyle, Jr., Khloe, Lucas, Isaiah, Rory, Isabella and Christopher; several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Ronnie Leftwich.
His visiting hours will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 1-5 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford.
