Jeffrey M. Sylvia, 63, of New Bedford died March 22, 2023 peacefully at Sarah Brayton Nursing Home.
He was the husband of Donna L. (Oliveira) Sylvia, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Marilyn (Martin) Sylvia and Lionel Sylvia, Sr., he lived in New Bedford most of his life.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, going out with his friends and listening to his police scanner.
He was formerly employed as a security guard with Best Security in Fall River for over 20 years until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife; his daughter, Kristina Sylvia of New Bedford; his sister-in-law, Lisa Oliveira of New Bedford; and several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
His funeral service will be private.
