Jennifer M. Watkins, 62, of New Bedford died Tuesday March 29, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Elizabeth R. (James) Watkins, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.

Ms. Watkins was formerly employed as a dietician at the Savoy Convalescent Home.

She was a graduate of New Bedford High School and Cape Cod Community College Culinary Program.

She enjoyed knitting, doing puzzles, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include five sisters, Joyce, Virginia Janice, Lorraine, and Sheryl Watkins, all of New Bedford; two brothers, Wayne Brown of New York and Russell Watkins of New Mexico; a stepbrother, Kenyon Craig of New Bedford; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 5-8 PM. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
