John M. Clements, III

John M. Clements, III, 64, of New Bedford, Massachusetts passed away Saturday, October 3, 2026 peacefully at his home following a brief illness.

Born in New Bedford, he was the beloved son of the late John "Jack" and Carole (Roderick) Clements. John is survived by his four siblings: Christopher Clements and his companion Jennifer Camire of Dartmouth; Andrew Clements and his wife Linda of Watertown, CT; Stephen Clements of Fall River; and Maureen Thomas and her husband Michael of Woburn. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

John was a lifelong New Bedford resident and a 1981 graduate of New Bedford Vocational High School. John worked as a Massachusetts Correctional Officer for 20 years until his retirement. As an avid sports fan, he loved watching holiday football games with his nephews, where the best seats in the house often rivaled the game itself. He took great pride in his gardening and enjoyed the simple pleasures of home and family.
