John A. Pacheco, 71, of New Bedford, formerly of Fairhaven, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, January 7, 2024.

Born in Sao Miguel, Portugal, son of the late Jose Pacheco and Maria da Gloria Pacheco, he moved to the United States as a child and lived the majority of his life between New Bedford and Fairhaven.

John worked most of his life as a carpenter for Care Free Homes until his retirement. He enjoyed his daily cup of coffee and newspaper, watching any Boston sports team, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his son, Daniel and his wife Katie, his daughter Sara and her husband Dennis, along with their children, his beloved grandchildren, Delaney and Parker. He is also survived by his sister, Leonora Mendoza.

He was predeceased by his mother, Maria da Gloria Pacheco and father, Jose Pacheco.
