John Michael Towers passed away peacefully on April 12, 2018 at the age of 70 in Ocoee, Florida after a long illness. John was the son of Joseph Jr. and Mildred Towers. He is survived by his wife Mary Alice Robbins Towers. John also is survived by his children Jennifer, Matthew, Sarah, his step-children Kim, Stacey, Jason and his six grandchildren. John's siblings are Marilyn Saint Aubin, Nancy Shepard and William Towers.

He graduated from New Bedford High School and worked for AT&T in Fairhaven and Florida. In retirement, John maintained a Towers family genealogy book of photos. John enjoyed woodworking and his dogs.

Visitation will be held at Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23 followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m.
