Jose M. "Joe" Pacheco, 66, of New Bedford died January 27, 2021 unexpectedly at home.
He was the husband of Diane (Marden) Pacheco.
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, son of the late Abilio and Maria Pacheco, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.
He was formerly employed as a commercial fisherman on several scallopers in the New Bedford fleet for many years until his retirement.
Survivors include 2 sons, Shannon Pacheco of New Bedford and Jaimee Pacheco of Dartmouth; a granddaughter, Dakota Pacheco; a sister, Natalia Lourenco of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Abilio Pacheco.
His funeral arrangements will be private.
