Joseph Aguiar, 65, of Dartmouth died Monday, July 7, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital after a period of declining health.

Born in New Bedford, son of the late Joseph and Adelaide (Rose) Aguiar, he was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth.

He was employed as a mechanic for many years.

Joseph enjoyed riding his dirtbikes and fishing.

He is survived by his long-time companion, Gladys Ellis; two children, Wendy Aguiar and Joseph Aguiar; his step-son, Eugene Ellis; and many nieces and nephews.
