Joseph P. Costa, 57, of New Bedford died December 31, 2015 unexpectedly at home.
Born in Acushnet, the son of the late Joseph P. and Rita (Rioux) Costa, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
He was a self-employed carpenter.
Survivors include his daughter, Calin Costa of New Bedford; a sister, Jo-Ann Furtado of New Bedford; a heal-brother, Brian Costa of New Bedford; 5 grandchildren; a niece and 4 nephews.
He was the father of the late Jennifer Costa and the brother of the late Anita Downing.
