Joseph C. Perry, 95, of Mattapoisett died May 14, 2006 at home after a long illness.
He was the husband of Eugenia P. (Ziemba) Perry.
Born in Santa Barbara, Terceira, Azores, the son of the late Antone and Josephine (Costa) Perry, he lived in Mattapoisett most of his life.
Mr. Perry was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church in Mattapoisett. He was the recipient of the Marian Medal from the Diocese of Fall River for his years of service to his parish.
He was formerly employed by Revere Copper & Brass for many years until his retirement.
Mr. Perry was a member and former Commander of the Florence Eastman American Legion in Mattapoisett. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Benjamin Cushing Post 2425 in Marion, the American Portuguese War Veterans of New Bedford and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joseph E. Perry and his wife Nancy of Mattapoisett, and James A. Perry and his wife Michele of Seattle, WA; 3 grandchildren, Emily Perry, Ben Lehman and Anna Warnke; a great-granddaughter, Ally Warnke; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Charles Perry, Mary Perry, Emily Perry, Anthony Perry, Josephine Perry, Elsie Sylvia, Edmund Perry, and Pauline Renahan.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett, Wednesday, May 17th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Tuesday, May 16th from 4-7 PM.
Interment St. Anthony's Cemetery.
