Julia Raposo, 91, of New Bedford died Sunday January 3, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Lowell, the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Cardeira) Pina, she lived in New Bedford for much of her life.

She enjoyed shopping and gardening.

Survivors include two sons, Antonio Pina of New Bedford and Mario Pina of Falmouth; a daughter, Fatima Betancur of Attleboro; six grandchildren; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private.
