Katherine Ann Gomes, 61, of New Bedford died January 6, 2009 at home.
Born in Middleboro, the daughter of the late Manuel Henry and Shirley Mae (DeCosta) Gomes, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
She was formerly employed by the Aerovox Corporation and Bristol Electronics. She later worked for a pizza parlor in the South End of New Bedford.
She loved reading, playing bingo, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Jean Ann Gomes; two brothers and a sister; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She also leaved a long time friend, George Coleman and his wife Shirley, and a step-uncle Salvatore Bruno.
She was predeceased by an infant sister.
