Kathleen A. Moniz, 59, of New Bedford died Friday, August 7, 2020 unexpectedly at Rhode Island Hospital.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of Philip and Linda (Girouard) Lawrence, she lived in New Bedford and Dartmouth for all of her life.

Kathleen enjoyed traveling, cruises, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her parents; three sons, Christopher Flechsig and his wife Nicole, Jason Flechsig, and Ryan Moniz; her grandfather, Lionel Girouard; two brothers, Kevin Lawrence and his wife Tammy, and Philip Lawrence and his wife Claire; five grandchildren, Christopher, Jacob, Andrew, and Brianna Flechsig, and Brody Moniz; and several nieces and nephews.
