Keone M. Mendes, 24, of New Bedford died July 25, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital unexpectedly.

He was the son of Darlene E. Mendes of New Bedford.

Keone was born in Boston and lived in New Bedford most of his life.

He was employed by Pomerantz Staffing Alternatives in New Bedford.

Keone enjoyed playing basketball.

Survivors include his mother; his grandparents, Mary Mendes of Boston and Manuel F. Grace of Burlington, MA; a brother, Gene A. Mendes of New Bedford; several cousins, aunts and uncles, a niece and a nephew.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford, Monday, July 28th at 11 AM.

Visiting hours Sunday, July 28th from 7-9 PM.

Interment Rural Cemetery.
