IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kevin L.
Oliveira
December 21, 1992 – March 6, 2025
Kevin L Oliveira, 32, of Freetown tragically passed away on March 6th, 2025 as the result of a hit-and-run accident while vacationing in Brazil. His sudden loss has left his family, friends and community heartbroken, but his memory will live on through the love he shared and the joy he brought to those around him.
Born in New Bedford and a longtime resident of Freetown, Kevin was a beloved son to Luis A and Adelaide (Pereira) Oliveira.
Kevin was a dedicated and hardworking individual who built his own successful business, KO Construction, through determination, skill, and passion. His drive and commitment to excellence earned him the respect of his peers and the admiration of those who knew him. He took great pride in his work, not only as a reflection of his abilities but also as a way to support and uplift those around him.
Beyond his work, Kevin found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He had a deep love for spending times with friends and family, football, fishing, and animals—pursuits that reflected his adventurous spirit and appreciation for the world around him. He cherished his family above all else, especially his nieces and nephew, who brought him immense joy. His humor, generosity, and unwavering support for those he loved will be deeply missed.
Kevin is survived by his loving parents, Luis and Adelaide; his sister and her husband, Timothy Spillane Jr and Jenifer Spillane; his nieces and nephew, Kylee, Emma and Connor; his grandmother Maria Oliveira of New Bedford; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is now reunited with his beloved sister, Amanda, whose memory he carried with him always.
Kevin was the grandson of the late Antonio Pereira and Cisaltina deBarros of Acushnet, and Paulo Oliveira of New Bedford.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on March 21st at 10 AM at the Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 121 Mount Pleasant St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in St John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4-8PM in the Saunder-Dwyer Home for Funeral, 495 Park St, New Bedford.
