Kevin Paul Serpa, 48, of Dartmouth, formerly of New Bedford, passed away Monday October 3, 2022 at his mother's home after a long illness.

Born in New Bedford, the son of Tina (Gloria) Lawson and the late Jose Duarte Serpa, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.

Kevin was a man with a very big heart who was the family protector. He loved spending time with his sons and his friends. He was known for his sense of humor and for being a jokester. He enjoyed taking walks at the beach with his dog Blu.

He is survived by his mother, Tina; his sons, Jordyn P. Serpa and Jace C. Serpa; his brother, Allen Serpa; his step-father, Myron "Chuck" Lawson; his nephews, Mateo Serpa and Junior Serpa; his former wife, Kat Serpa; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his long-time companion, Sandra Miranda and his brother, Jeffery Serpa.

His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday October 12th at 11AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday October 11th from 5-8 PM. For online condolence book, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
