Lena L. (Linhares) Ferra, 97, of Mattapoisett died January 7, 2002 at Sacred Heart Home after a brief illness.

She was the wife of the late Joseph Ferra, and daughter of the late John and Francisca (Costa) Linhares.

Mrs. Ferra was a lifelong resident of Mattapoisett.

She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church in Mattapoisett.

Mrs. Ferra was formerly employed as a housekeeper for many of the local summer residents of Mattapoisett until her retirement.

Survivors include a brother, John L. Linhares of Mattapoisett; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Belmira Sylvia, Manuel Linhares and Frank Linhares.

Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett, Friday, January 11th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church, Mattapoisett at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Visiting hours Thursday, January 10th from 4-7 PM.

Interment St. Anthony's Cemetery, Mattapoisett.
