Lenard R. Golen, 77, of New Bedford died August 28, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
He was the husband of Ann V. (McKenna) Golen.
Born and raised in New Bedford, the son of the late Joseph L. and Marie J. (Gaulin) Golen, he lived in Uxbridge, MA before returning to New Bedford in 2005.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Scott Lenard Golen of New Bedford; 3 sisters, Lorraine Murray and her husband Ted of New Galilee, PA, Theresa Sparling and her husband Brent of East Freetown and Joelle Sladewski and her husband Eugene of Wareham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Linda Gaudreau.
His Funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 AM in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Visiting hours are omitted.
