Leo Desorcy, 74, of Freetown, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 16, 2026. He was the husband of Paula (LeDoux) Desorcy for 53 years.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Robert and Alice (Bramwell) Desorcy, he lived in New Bedford most of his life before retiring to Freetown.
Leo was an avid traveler, and enjoyed going on cruises and visiting all of the MLB stadiums across the country. Leo was an umpire for Whaling City Youth Baseball League for over 15 years. He liked playing bingo with his wife and friends, going out to eat, and watching his grandchildren's sporting events.
Leo worked for Titleist for many years proudly manufacturing the Pro V1 golf ball.
Survivors include his wife, Paula; his children, Jason Desorcy and his wife Amanda Savoie of Dartmouth, Kelley Sears and her husband James of Dartmouth; his grandchildren, Nicholas and Nathan Sears, and Gianna Savoie; his sister in law Doreen Desorcy; and his nieces and nephews especially Donna and Jackie who he shared a close relationship with.
He is predeceased by his siblings, Robert Desorcy, Jr., Paul Desorcy, and Lorraine Maurice.
His memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 20th 2026 from 4-7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
