Leo M. Lomba, 79, of Fall River, formerly of New Bedford, passed away on Thursday August 10, 2017 at his son's home surrounded by family.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Matilda Lomba and Leon Perry, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
Leo was formerly employed as a truck driver.
He was a member of the Union Lodge #4, F. & A.M.
He is survived by his son, Leon M. Lomba, Sr. and his wife Tracy of Fall River; his former wife, Elizabeth (Lopes) Lomba of Berkley; three grandchildren, Leon Lomba, Jr., Camron Lomba, and Devin Lomba; and five great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Belfred and Adelina.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday August 19, 2017 from 1-5 PM at the Cape Verdean American Veterans Hall, 561 Purchase St., New Bedford.
