Liam Joseph McBrien

Liam J. McBrien, 68, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 11, 2026. He was the husband of Kathleen (Rosiak) McBrien.

Born in Norwood, son of the late William and Therese (Sullivan) McBrien, he was raised in Norfolk and summered in Mattapoisett.

Liam was a loving father and grandfather and enjoyed being the manager of various youth sports teams including his sons baseball teams. He was an avid concert goer and liked listening to AC/DC. Liam enjoyed watching the Patriots and being on the ocean.

Survivors include his wife Kathleen; his son Patrick McBrien of Bend, OR; and his grandchildren, William and Hunter McBrien.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 10 AM in Rural Cemetery.
