Lillian (Lopes) Travers, 92, of Dartmouth died January 21, 2016 peacefully at Sacred Heart Home.
She was the wife of the late Gilbert Travers.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Manuel and Angelina (Antunes) Lopes, she lived in Dartmouth most of her life.
Mrs. Travers was formerly employed as a legal secretary for various area attorneys, most notably Attorney Edmund Dinis.
She was a former member of the United Portuguese Women's Club.

Survivors include her son, Michael Travers of Dartmouth; a daughter, Patricia A. Travers of Dartmouth; 3 grandchildren, Benjamin M. Travers and his wife Nancy, Jonathan G. Travers and his wife Barbara and Stacy Vieira and her husband Tony; 6 great-grandchildren, Benjamin M. Travers, Jr., Carly J. Travers, Nathan J. Travers, Cameron Nuttall, Genevieve Vieira and Nicholas Vieira.
She was the sister of the late Deolinda "Dell" Sylvia.
Her Graveside Service will be held on Monday, February 1st at 10 AM in Rural Cemetery.
