Lisa M. (Correia) Desmarais, 63, of New Bedford died August 31, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was the wife of David M. Desmarais.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Lionel and Ruth (DeMello) Correia, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was formerly employed as a custodian at Keith Junior High School for many years until her retirement.
Lisa enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, & husband. She loved making people laugh and caring for animals. She was a member of Christian fellowship Center. Loved being close to God and listening to all kinds of music.
Survivors include her husband David; 2 sons, Carlos Silveira and his wife Lauren, and Roger Moniz, Jr., all of New Bedford; a step-daughter, Denise Samuel and her husband Aaron Samuel; a sister, Dori Maher of New Bedford; a grandson, Sidian Silveira; and 4 step-grandchildren, Jayde Cooper, Jeremiah Cooper, Aaron Samuel, Jr. and Isaiah Samuel.
Her funeral arrangements will be private.
