Lois J. (DeCosta) Pavone, 82, of New Bedford died Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late William and Ada (Lofthouse) DeCosta, she lived in New Bedford for all of her life.

Lois was formerly employed by the Traffic Commission for the City of New Bedford for many years until her retirement.

She served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

She enjoyed playing Bingo.

Survivors include her friends, Ellen and John Sylvia of New Bedford, and Bob and Alynne Egan of Dartmouth.

A private Graveside Service was held on Friday, January 8, 2016 in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
