Lois (Chapman) Ross, 91, of Mattapoisett died January 21, 2002 at Tobey Hospital after a brief illness.

She was the wife of the late C. Martin Ross and daughter of the late Charles and Ida (Sawtelle) Chapman.

Mrs. Ross was born in Mansfield, MA and lived there many years before retiring to Mattapoisett in 1975.

She was formerly employed by the John D. Lewis Company in Mansfield and later was employed at Texas Instruments for many years until her retirement. She later was a nurses aide at the Mattapoisett Nursing Home.

Mrs. Ross was an avid bingo player and bowler.

Survivors include a son, Charles M. Ross, Jr., and his wife Ann, of Pawtucket, RI; a daughter, Priscilla A. Grantham, and her husband John, of Wareham; 5 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd., (Route 6) Mattapoisett Thursday, January 24th at 11 AM.

Visiting hours Wednesday, January 23rd from 4-7 PM.

Interment Springbrook Cemetery, Mansfield.
