Lois J. (Hunter) Saunders, 84, of New Bedford died Wednesday January 9, 2013 peacefully after a period of declining health.
Mrs. Saunders worked as a registered nurse in the New Bedford area until her retirement.
She is survived by three daughters, Jill Abramson, Jane Saunders-Mills, and Jean Tomms; her sister, Bonnie Wypych; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Joan Saunders.
