Loretta E. Phaneuf, 94, of New Bedford died Sunday January 9, 2011 at New Bedford Health Care Center.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Sylvanie J. and Elizabeth (Sillery) Phaneuf, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.

She was a communicant of St. James Church.

Miss Phaneuf was formerly employed at the New Bedford Free Public Library until her retirement.

She was the sister of the late Mary E. Phaneuf.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
