Lorraine E. (Rocheleau) Pietkiewicz, 78, of New Bedford died August 22, 2008 at St. Anne's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Henry and Irene (Bessette) Rocheleau, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
Mrs. Pietkiewicz was formerly employed by Berkshire-Hathaway for many years until retirement and later was a teachers aide for the New Bedford Public Schools.
Being with family was the greatest enjoyment in her life and her deep Catholic faith got her through many difficult times. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School, class of 1948.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Johnson and her husband Jack of Dartmouth and Katherine Pietkiewicz of New Bedford; two sisters, Claire Bancroft of Portsmouth, RI and Irene Bancroft and her husband Donald of Dartmouth; two grandchildren, Meredith Johnson and Ross Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Monday, August 25th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Julie Billiart Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday, August 24th from 4-8 PM.
