Obituary

Lorraine Anne (Cormier) St. Pierre, 84, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday, October 25, 2025. She was the loving wife of Roger Aldor St. Pierre for almost 40 years.

Born in Boston, daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Wagner) Cormier, she was raised in Easton and lived most of her life in New Bedford.

Lorraine enjoyed traveling with Roger and making friends everywhere they went. They would spend Friday nights every summer dancing in the streets during the Summer Sound Series. She was an avid reader, enjoyed skiing, and spending time with her kids and grandchildren. Lorraine was a strong, independent woman who raised her own three daughters as a single mother. After meeting Roger, she brought the blended family together, hosting many holiday gatherings filled with love and laughter.

Lorraine was a 1959 graduate of Oliver Ames High School, and worked as a paraprofessional at New Bedford High School for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Roger; her children, Laurie Gustafson, Kathleen Yacovone, Cheryl Lavoie, Michael St. Pierre and his partner Elaine, Michelle St. Pierre and her partner Bob, and Nicole St. Pierre and her partner Roberta; her siblings, Jo-Anne Christink, Marilyn Cormier, and Joseph Cormier; her grandchildren, Kyle, Jeffrey, and Ryan Gustafson, Brie-Anne Lavoie-Keirnan, and Erin Donnelly; seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her sister Marybeth Marrone.

No public services will be held, a private memorial will be held in the future.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society , or plant a tree in Lorraine's memory.
