Louis M. "Chickie" Rozario, 93, of New Bedford died Wednesday March 24, 2010 at New Bedford Health Care Center.

Born in Kingston, the son of the late Manuel M. and Dominga (Malaquia) Rozario, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in India and Burma.

Survivors include a brother, August Baptiste of New Bedford; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Guilhermina "Gigi" Duarte, Frances Rozario, and Josephine Quiles.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday April 23, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Rural Cemetery. A memorial gathering will follow at the Andrew-Dahill Post Veterans of Foreign Wars, 477 Park St., New Bedford. For online condolence book, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
