Mabel (Medeiros) Wood, 97, of New Bedford died Monday july 31, 2006 at Alden Court Nursing Center after a long illness.

A lifelong resident of New Bedford, she was formerly employed as an inspector at Aerovox.

Survivors include a brother, George Medeiros and two sisters, Dorothy Botelho and Laura King, all of New Bedford.


She was the sister of the late William Medeiros, Manuel Medeiros and Clotilde Mandeville.



Her private Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday in St. Julie Billiart Church. Burial followed in St. John's Cemetery.
