Manuel F. Moniz, 66, of New Bedford died February 28, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Frank and Rose (Bento) Moniz, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
He served two tours of duty in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his two brothers, Frank Moniz, Jr. of Dartmouth and Richard Moniz of Rochester.
His private graveside service was held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
