Manuel Pacheco, 90, of New Bedford died August 19, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief long illness.
He was the husband of the late Emily (Boino) Pacheco.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Manuel and Alexandrina (Ferreira) Pacheco, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
He was formerly employed by by The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for many years until his retirement.
Survivors include his daughter, Carol Hotte, and her husband Ron, of Rochester, NY; 2 brothers, John Tavares and Mario Tavares, both of Acushnet; 2 sisters, Mary DeCosta and Flora Tavares, both of Acushnet; a granddaughter, Lynn Hotte, of Rochester, NY; 4 great-grandchildren, Justin, Lauren, Christian and Damien; several nieces and nephews.
His burial in Rural Cemetery will be private.
