Marco Filipe Carreiro Mateus, 45, of Lowell died Saturday, August 27, 2022 unexpectedly at home.

Born in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Azores, son of the late Manuel De Sousa Mateus and the late Delia Maria Da Costa Carreiro Mateus, he lived in the Azores for most of his life before moving to Massachusetts 11 years ago.

Marco enjoyed fishing and was a nice guy who loved to help his family and friends.

He is survived by his 13 siblings and many nieces and nephews.
